Beats were provided courtesy of DJ Ironbound with NC350 Chair Junius Williams, Cissy Houston and Festival ambassadors Fayemi Shakur, Rodney Gilbert and many more Newark artists, movers and shakers in the house.

Lincoln Park Music Speaks - Guest Speaker

LPCCD’s MUSIC SPEAKS, the free lecture, music and multimedia arts series program in honor of Newark’s 350th anniversary celebration, is an exciting initiative leading up to the 11th annual Lincoln Park Music Festival July 29-31 with programs and events designed to increase Newark citizens’ appreciation for the African American musical genres of gospel, hip-hop, rhythm and blues, rock and roll and house. There will also be programs on visual arts, performance, literature, photography, mixed media arts as well as outdoor installations and one-on-one “A Conversation With” style talk backs.
