Friends of Nat Turner Park is launching a new film series in the heart of Newark’s Clinton Hill community in honor of Newark’s 350th birthday.The 2016 Our Community Film Series honors Newark’s rich tradition of cultural expression by providing a showcase for Black cinema in its various forms – from documentaries to dramas and independent productions to commercial releases. Come out, grab a seat and a bag of popcorn! Enjoy the films and join our community family in reflecting on Newark’s past and creating its future.
