Debates over Confederate statues and the names of university buildings has shown that history is not just about the past. Telling Untold Histories is an unconference that asks how we can make history more diverse and inclusive. Unlike traditional history conferences, there are no lectures or papers. Instead, the attendees will decide what topics we’ll discuss. A series of workshops, included in the $20 registration fee (plus small service charge), will teach skills like how to use HistoryPin, conduct interviews like StoryCorps, and understand copyright.
