Join in the celebration of Newark’s 350th year anniversary by becoming a part of the City’s NC 350 commemorative quilt. Citizens of Newark are invited to contribute a piece of cotton fabric to be part of the quilt presented by Central Ward Councilwoman The Honorable Gayle Chaneyfeld Jenkins and designed by Toni Thomas, the founder and director of ARTS ETC, the Newark based art organization dedicated to supporting women in the visual and literary arts and indigenous artists who work in a traditional art form. ARTS ETC strives to build community among artists and bring quality art programming.
Fabric contributions can be dropped off at designated bins at your local Newark public library.
The quilt will be unveiled on December 17 at a location TBD.
