During 2016, ensembles from the NJSO join with jazz musicians to perform several “Ward Jams,” bringing live music to Newark’s most historic neighborhoods. The orchestra’s 2016 free concert in Branch Brook Park in Newark, funded by Essex County, will include musicians and musical groups from Newark. This event is presented by Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey and the County of Essex and is part of the 2016 Essex County Free Summer Music Concert Series.
