Newark’s 7th Annual Women’s History Month Film Festival will screen an international collection of films by and about women that examine jazz as musical expression, as well as a metaphor for women’s work. As part of the Cell Phone Cinema Contest, students ages 16-24 use their cell phones to create three- to seven-minute films about global issues facing women.
Panel Discussion following the screening with Pianists Amina Figerova and Bertha Hope, Bassist Mimi Jones and Vocalist/Saxophonist Camille Thurman.
